Re: Update 50
Thanks Alastair for getting up the two most recent updates on the state of the campaign. More solid arguments for designation.
On the second front, the oral history project is moving ahead with a work committee comprised of Jim Kirkwood and Sandy McKay, Fad pioneer descendants, Joan Kadoke, resident volunteer historian and Graeme Morton and James Jensen of Scottish Studies, University of Guelph. An intensive session was held last Wednesday at the Scottish Studies office to inventory 30 interviews and a wealth of visual and printed material. A short trailer will be available shortly to introduce the Ballinafad Pioneer Heritage Series. You will see it,en premiere, at our own electric scotland.
To get an early apercu, go to the Tweedsmuir histories and have some fun.
