I admit to being head over heels a fan of the CNE . . . it has been a lifetime love affair, even as it has changed and shrunk and become impossibly expensive. It is still one of the great pleasures I seek to pass on to my children, my grandchildren and my greats . . . and here are some of the reasons why and the day that one can combine great fun and observance of all those who serve so that we may luxuriate in their gift of freedom.
