Communications . . . I ponder an idea I heard or read. Then I write a script. Derby comes over and tapes me reading it. Then he does his magic on the computer and it goes from my library to YouTube. I then type this letter, insert your address and push a few buttons and at 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning it wafts its way to your e-mail and with the touch of your mouse, I appear.
21st century communications . . . quite a step from the rocks of the cave man’s etchings.
