One thing I have been doing during all this shut-in time is going through old journals and boxes of books and things I have brought back from my travels. I recently revisited one from the time when I was studying at St George’s College in Jerusalem in July of 2007. Which, may I assure you, is a VERY hot time in that part of the world. In my Journal I found this wee prayer I had composed and here it is to share with you.
Thank-you for this heat of the day
So that I may rejoice in the evening cool.

There are lots of sad stories coming out of the past few months, but I want to share one of the great successes: how churches of all denominations are using their roadside signs to spread Coronavirus advice in humour . . .

But if I had a sign, I would use the one from Southeast Baptist:
Say your prayers and wash your hands
‘cause Jesus and the virus are everywhere.
Have a wonderful week and just remember this wondrous heat next January when you, like all true Canadians, will start complaining about the cold. As for me, I will spend more time complaining about the dark!
