Donna,
Thank you for the stories of Ronald and his youth. The patience and sense of humor you mention in some of your recollections complement the manner in which he carried himself here at Hilltop Manor.
He was often gentle and soft-spoken, but could also be overheard speaking softly a wily, witty observation.
He was also very polite, and helpful. One could sense that he really enjoyed the solitude of time spent in the kitchen or pantry, cleaning, organizing, listening to the radio, away from the occasional chaos of the house at large, always at his own volition.
Ronald is missed here; many of us amongst the staff and his fellow housemates valued him -- the sense of pride and character he brought here to Hilltop – deeply. Thank you again for your words.
Sincerely,
The staff and residents here at Hilltop Manor
