    Ronnie George Primeaux

    SEATTLE, Wash. — Ronnie George Primeaux, resident of Seattle, Wash., and former resident of Ponca City, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a long illness.¬ He was 59.


    Ronnie was born March 16, 1951, at Pawnee, to John Edgar and Verma DeLodge Primeaux. He was proud of his Ponca Indian heritage. He was raised by his foster parents, Lee and Velma Jones. Ronnie graduated from Ponca City High School in 1976. He worked in the hotel and restaurant service industry and moved to Seattle in 1986. Ronnie was a gentle-natured soul who enjoyed all kinds of music. He brought lightheartedness when he was around. He will be greatly missed by his extended and adopted families.


    Ronnie was preceded in death by his dad and mother; his foster parents; two brothers, Glenn Eagle and Victor McClellan; and one sister, Louise Page.¬


    Survivors include one brother, Paul D. Primeaux Hufstedler of Tulsa; three sisters, Dorcilla Page Howell of Wichita, Kan., Delila Primeaux Hufstedler and Paula D. Eagle of Durant; and numerous extended and adopted family members.


    Friends may pay their respects to Ronnie from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, March 7, at Grace Memorial Chapel.¬


    A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, at Ponca Tribal Cemetery in Ponca City with Brother Jim White officiating.¬
