  • A Good Year, Russell Crowe

Rhonda and I enjoyed this movie, A Good Year, so much. Russell Crowe makes us believe through his acting he has given up a high dollar job in the stock market to return to the Chateau in France where he spent his summers as a child.

For me I was able to settle into the French countryside and imagine it was where Mother’s family of the Pensoneaus could have lived in the La Fleur region before they came to Canada. The culture, the way they lived their lives, how they functioned in every day habits, all was made clear in this movie.

Once again it was as if Mother was with us. Suddenly my hum drum little habits were valuable and easy to go through. Flowers on the tables, meals with candles, family and friends, love of literature, and so on and so forth. All these things are of no monetary value and sometimes I feel
I’m wasting my time, but not after seeing this movie.
