Well I've decided to bite the bullet as they say so have embarked on publishing a Canadian Gazetteer on the site. I remember when I did the Scottish Gazetteer it took nearly 8 months to get it all up on the site so that means this one is bound to take a few months.
There are some 14,800 place names and some 3,000 lakes to add and I do need to type them all in. Problem is that quite a few names are not logical to my knoweldge so I'm needing to cross check each weird name to ensure I have the spelling correct.
Well actually they are not weird names but there are many Indian names and French names and many other non British names that I wouldn't have a clue how to pronounce. And so this all takes time and I'm bound to make the odd mistaske but hopefully only a few.
