I'm not sure how many of you have ever visited ElectricScotland.net at http://www.electricscotland.net

This is where I post my travel journals and pictures. It's really my own personal site and I use it a bit like a diary.

The main headings on the index page are...

    Alastair's Mini Bio
As I try to encourage many people to do their own mini bios of their families I figured I'd better set an example of sorts and so this is my mini bio :-)

    Travel Journal
I spent time in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland as well as Kentucky in the USA and around Canada and these are my accounts of those travels along with pictures I took at the time.

    Canadian Journal
As I plan to settle in Canada I thought I'd document my own experiences during this process. Part of the reason is that I find it so hard to get accounts of the pioneers that it encouraged me to do my own account. It is a highly personal account and a kind of diary of sorts.

    Travels in Scotland
I spent around 3 months in Northern Perthshire and the Highlands of Scotland and so took many pictures on my travels and this is an account of those travels.

    Thousands of Pictures
I take loads of pictures with my wee digital camera and here are just a few you can view.

    Stamp Collection
Here I am listing some of my stamp collection which is mostly based on stamps from Kuwait.

The only reason for mentioning this is that I had occasion to check for some information that I knew I'd recorded on the site while in Cape Breton and having found it enjoyed going through my trip again which brought back some lovely memories.

It was while on Cape Breton amongst all the music that I decided to purchase a new camera that would let me record some of that music.

Anyway... just thought you might enjoy a wee browse.

Funnily enough, I was just browsing through your adventures etc., just an hour ago, interesting reading (again)

      Re: ElectricScotland.net

Once more with feeling, as I thought I posted a reply, but it didn't show up!! As before, funnily enough, I used to browse through your Canadian journals, KY, NS, Scotland, etc. long ago before I ever joined into the community. I was on dial-up then, now DSL. And would sit patiently here at the computer, waiting for all those pictures to come down. Have always thouroughly enjoyed all that you've posted. Gives those of us confined to home, due to all-consuming budget(!), a way of traveling the world. I am saving as I can now. Joan

I think that is why the travel journals were so popular at the time Joan as many said they could never afford to travel to Scotland so it was nice to see it as a visitor might driving around.
