Forfar bridies and Arboath smokies - it doesn't get much better! But I'm finding this series most interesting for it's attention to agriculture. I've often wondered how my grandfather's people were able to pick up in Scotland and "hit the ground running" on farms in central Canada. Farming is no simple business, even in the 1890's and they would have had to know what they were doing to adapt so quickly and successfully.
