Andrew Lang as Man of Letters and Folk-Lorist

I found a mention of Andrew Lang in a book I was working on and to my astonishment learned that he had produced 12 volumes of Fairy Books.

Apparently some of the stories are from his own sources but many are stories from all over the world, many of which were translated into English by his wife.
