New Section - Snippets

John Henderson has got access to the archives of the Glasgow Herald and suggested that we might create a section to store articles from them. And so we have made a start at this at:
http://www.electricscotland.com/history/snippets/

We will be creating categories to hold them and at time of writing we have...

Disasters
Education
Rugby Football
Transport
War Stories

The articles are stored as jpg files and so John is cropping them out and sending them to me. They are not crystal clear but certainly readable.

\Hi Alastair, yes a good selection or historical articles.

The 'war' information very interesting, especially about the bombing by their own forces of the German prisoners of war camp in Caithness. Oh dear what a mistake.

I remember that, and other of the happenings, which only makes ME history as well !!.
