The only functional, restored, PT boat left in the world! Operating out of Portland, Oregon.
History Of The PT Boat
PT boats were used by European navies in World War I but were not built for use by the American Navy until the 1930s. When World War II began, three boat builders emerged: Elco, Huckins and Higgins. They would combine to manufacture over 600 boats for the US Navy. Nicknamed the Mosquito Fleet, these boats would use their speed to attack enemy ships both above and below the surface. They were also used for search and rescue, intel operations and to disrupt trade.
