The Commonwealth Air Forces Memorial is a monument at Runnymede in Surrey to approximately 20,000 servicemen and servicewomen from the United Kingdom and its Commonwealth countries who died on operations based from bases in the United Kingdom and North and West Europe during World War II.[1] It is located on Coopers Hill Lane near Englefield Green and Egham. The building is open to the public and run and maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (www.cwgc.org).
