First and foremost we are a Scottish Folk duo, traditional music at its best, performing for a number of years. The bands expansive career includes performances in a variety of venues from open-air concerts in Germany Wine Festival in Hungary to private function, pubs, clubs & concerts .We have recorded 2 albums and maintained a large and diverse repertoire.We can also offer a wedding package that includes a third member (accordian player)of mak-a-din (Ceilidh / Folk / Rock'n' Roll and right through to recent music and if required finish the night of with our disco).
Mak-a-Din’ philosophy is one of quality folk music with entertainment.
Gordon Ritchie. Lead, Harmony Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Harmonica, and Bodhran. Gordon is the founding member of Mak-a-Din and has been performing as a folk singer for over 15 years, and has built up a reputation of on-stage fun and humour.
Davy Glen. Lead, Harmony Vocals, Guitar, Base, Harmonica, Whistle and Bobhran. Davy has been performing for over 29 years and recently followed his heart for his love of Scotland and its music. Davy has got one of those vocals that must sing ballads (Watch out Scotland).
