We arrived in Nova Scotia on Aug. 21. Buddy MacIsaac had just died on Aug. 20 (a famous fiddler known throughout the world, niece is Natalie MacMaster) So, we were at a B & B in Mabou area, and were told of the Red Shoe pub closeby. We went over one night, saw a woman playing guitar & singing folk type songs. Went the next day at 3 PM so as to get in to find a seat, as the Monday nights are when wellknown musicians come. We did, just, get a table & 3 chairs, practically out the front door! And the music didn't start for a long while! So, here's a bit of sharing for you all, Dwayne Cote. He's slightly older now, wears a pork pie cap on his head, still closes his eyes while fiddling. Really good, & he brought in a younger guy from Scotland who played fiddle, with his mom playing piano. So, here's a video of Dwayne playing at the Red Shoe Pub...not when I & family were there!
