The Glenfiddich Piping Championship 2010

The Glenfiddich Piping Championship has been won by Angus MacColl.

Mr MacColl, of Benderloch, Oban, won the championship for the third time, after competing against nine of the best solo pipers from around the world.

The Glenfiddich championship is only open to those who have had previous prestigious competitive successes earlier in 2010.

The event, seen as piping's 'ultimate accolade' was held in the ballroom of Blair Castle in Perthshire

Angus MacColl is a very intense and talented piper. He was featured quite a bit on the Highland Classics DVD "When Pipers Play" produced by Patrick King. He is adept and both Ceol Mor and Ceol Beg. Thanks for posting about the Glenfiddich Piping Championship.
