An appeal has been launched to raise money for an engraved memorial slab for George Campbell Hay in Makar’s Court, which is outside The Writers’ Museum in Lawnmarket, Edinburgh. George was quite unique as he wrote in Scots, Gaelic and English. I published his poetry in an anthology in 1970 called ‘Four Points of a Saltire’, George was a life long nationalist.
The above picture of him is coutesy of Gordon Wright. The appeal web site can be found at: www.gofundme.com/2ht4984
