I Liked the video about Greyfriars' Bobby - I remember seeing the film as a boy, I think it was in the early sixties.
Regarding Mackenzies tomb, my father used to tell me a children's rhyme which was current in his day:
"Bloody McKengie, come oot gin ye daur,
Lift the sneck an' draw the bar!"
Apparently they then ran away from the tomb fast in case he actually did!
