Scotland in Canada

Staying just outside Barrhead Alberta and Campsie is just up the road...
My father had Canadian born cousins who lived in Barrhead Scotland and now that family is back in Ontario, When I am in Kirkintilloch I am right beside the Campsie Fells. We call Lennoxtown "Campsie".
There are quite a few Scottish named communities out here, in common with the rest of Canada.

Same in Australia but half the time they mispronounce them.

We cannot determine how pronunciation will develop. Looking at old maps of Scotland it is clear that many places were 'said' differently in the past~~~
