Reconnected with Japanese friend

I lost touch with my friend Maiko after the tsunami and thought she had perished as she was in the area of tsunami. On Sunday evening she sent me a message on facebook. She had moved to Hiroshima about 2 months before the floods. It had taken her a long time to get back on the net.. What a wonderful surprise for me as I thought she had gone.. Lots of catching up to do. She lived here in Adelaide a few years ago and was one of my volunteers at work. I attended her wedding before she returned to Japan..
