Okay, I'll start us off. #1 - Last Chance; #2 - Step On It; #4 - Life of Ease; #6 - Backward Step, or Step Back; #11 - Chip on the Shoulder; #12 - Blue Berries.

I can't help myself. #3 - Time After Time; #5 - Are These Too Easy? #8 - He's Ahead of Himself, or He's Getting Ahead of Himself. The sooner these get solved, the sooner I'll get some work done!

That's a good stab at it Rick, but how can he be ahead of himself? All the rest are spot on. Leaving the easy ones for Ranald are you?

        Cheers,

        Hugh

Maybe it's a western Canada idiom Hugh, but if somebody rushes into something, or makes a wild leap of logic, or jumps to a conclusion, we say "he's getting a little ahead of himself, isn't he?" or "he's ahead of himself on that". But if it doesn't work here, I'm pretty sure Diane or Ranald will pick it up. Thanks!

As usual Rick you are quite correct. Doug has another expression in mind for this one but yours is a definite possibility.

            Hugh

Duh, I just noticed "He's Beside Himself" works for #8 too. Looks like Joan's back on line too, so it's just a matter of time till the rest get solved!

That's Dougs answer Rick, but yours is good too.

Rick & Hugh...the only ones left are REALLY DIFFICULT. You're supposed to LET me do the easy ones!!! Not fair!

                  Cheers, Joan

I'm just trying to make sure you're not distracted, so you can fully focus on what's really important!

I'm surprised no one got buffalo, even shocked.

Hugh...I guess overall, I was reading TOO MUCH into the buffalo one. I had written down "Bull & cow buffalo, with two calves". Yet I didn't put it in! Thanks, Joan

You usually get the most out of the clues Joan, but this time you were looking for too much I guess.
