Hey, to all...You got the jump on me, Ranald! After looking at Hugh's post, I went out to do some necessary shopping. Got back & you'd answered the ones I had just answered (on paper!). Anyway, here goes! #1. "Red tape", # 10. "No excuses" #11. "Let's get down to basics", #12 "Square meal".

Hope for once, I got all those!

Still didn't get #11 Joan and #8 is about the same as Ranald's, a good alternate, and still not the same as Doug's. Keep at it. You'll get it.

Ah Ha!! The previous picture for Enigma #41 did NOT have the scissors in between the TA PE. So, at this moment in time, I'd say the answer to that #1 is "let's cut the red tape" . Glad someone caught this. Thanks, Joan

Right Joan, Doug's original did not have scissors but scissors makes it simpler. I'm glad you got BACK to basics, that's what I was waiting for. That leaves #2, #3, #7 & #9 I think.
