HI, all! Just printed this off, & need to peruse the enigmas a bit. However, will make an educated guess for #3 "partial eclipse"....... later, found a few others. i.e. #11 "clamp down on red tape", then #12 "the king of the castle".

Of the three #11 is correct. Take a look at #3 again. James Bond could help on #12.

I'm surprised no one has got #9 yet. If you don't hurry Rick will get that one too. #4 is not too difficult but I could see that #5 would be more difficult and you would groan if you saw it.

Hello, all...I just sounded it out, & think that #9 is "Gee, you're Tall". It does make one feel rather stupid to not be able to "get" some of these! J

Sorry Ranald and Joan, it just means you don't think like Doug. I like to see how many I can get when I post a new puzzle and I find some of them hard. For instance #9 could be rewritten as 'gTle' if that helps.
