Hey to all...(with big cat on lap!)... I have a few answers. #2 is "act out of character", #3 is "at second glance", #4 is "circle of friends", #10 is "Captain Hook", #12 is "getting up at dawn".

I'm with Joan on #2, #4 and #10. I'd vary the other two slightly: #3 - Without a Second Glance and #12 - Getting Up at the Break of Dawn. Then #5 - A Man for all Seasons, #7 - Unemployment and #8 - Suspended Animation.

Joan right on for #2, #4 & #10, a very close on the others. Rick you have #3, #12, #5 & #8. Your #7 is basically correct but there is a better answer. Good start.

I am forced to answer one enigma that I've thought of....#7 is "men out of employment". Hopefully, this will put that one to bed!

Hi to all - I was going to give this one a miss as I am at present minus a printer and staring at the monitor causes me eye problems. Have found a temporary solution with a borrowed pair of sunglasses, so if I get the answers wrong at least I'll look cool while I'm doing it.
It looks like (switching between windows here) you have #1, #6, #7, #9 and #11
left to solve. I thought #1 might be "not quite myself", #6 "a play on words", #7 "men out of work", and #9 "a painless operation". #11 looks to be a toughy, perhaps "growing back" but it doesn't sound right.
Hope I haven't repeated anyone's answers as this gets a bit muddling.

John you got #6, #7 & #9. For #11 you have to think football and #1 is not as complicated as it seems.
