Hello to all - brand-new printer installed and behaving itself, so here are a few attempts at these: #1 "parachutes", #4 "a growing concern", #5 "a word to the wise", #11 "pontoon" (assuming U.S. and Canadian pronunciation.)

#9 - Blackjack? I was going to suggest "Beauty Spot" of #6 but maybe that's what Ranald meant? The golden arrow in #12 has me stumped.
