I still can't think of a better answer than Joan's for #2 - it seems to fit nicely. Unless it's to do with mountains "A way over the pass", or ball sports "Centre pass under way" - both unconvincing; still working on it. - John.

The answer from Doug for #2 is "highlights" which does not seem to fit.

Hi Hugh, I rather think that it must have been an error by Doug.....

Mind you, within the letters you can get ' hi lites' but there are 2 not use 'r and a'!

Hello..this is my "musing"....I thought perhaps he was thinking about passing another vehicle, thus blinking his lights on high, as a signal. So, "high lights". What do you all think??
