Hi Hugh - I'm currently in the throes of moving house and haven't been near the computer for a few days. Bit of a lull now, so this is my first look in at these. I expected to find most of them solved, but I'll see if I can jog things along a bit. Joan's got #6 and #12, so: #2 "Toeing the line", #3 "Terminate, #4 "Pins 'n' needles", #5 "Trinket", #7 "Landmine", #8 "Gringo", #9 "Printer", #10 "Laryngitis", & #11 "Laminated".
Now working on a ridiculously complicated solution for #1, hopefully one of the others will save me the embarrassment of posting it.
Cheers, John.
Hi Hugh - this was one of the possibilities I thought of and discarded; like Ranald I was thrown off by the lack of a 'd' in the clue. I thought "and" was a bit sneaky for an "in"sider! Something to watch out for in future.
Thanks for the answer though. - John.
